The kinetic energy stored in the flywheel, which is necessary for the forming process is switchably transferred through the LUTEX® clutch/brake combination to the press crankshaft or to a gearbox. The DESCH Lutex® clutch/brake combination can either be switched hydraulically or pneumatically.
